Life is Too Short
To Limit Your Child’s Experiences

We know many people are afraid their child may grow up disconnected, experience behavioral issues, and more. Taco camp gives children the opportunity to learn to connect in a healthy way with peers, keeps them engaged in hands on farm activities, and leaves a lasting impact on their attitudes on life.

Taco Farm Camp is where parables come to life in a meaningful way! There are many Christian Life Lessons that can be learned through activities around food, farm related tasks, and more! Your child will have fun learning about where their food comes from, how to make their own tacos from scratch, and serve each other.

They learn teamwork and how to follow instruction through hands on activities such as:

By the end of the week, the children understand where their food comes from, and the effort involved to put it on the table.

Meet The Faces Behind Fort Hope

Pat Loomis
Pat Loomis
Founder and Director of Fort Hope, Patrick loves building things and working with his hands. With a love of nature, a little dream, and the support of family and friends he built Fort Hope to be a place of wonder and excitement. For over 20 years he has provided a space for at risk youth and their families to have life changing moments and experiences. As the founder he does it all, from feeding the sheep in the morning to setting up the cowboy hats and bandanas for the kids before an event, he is always there willing to serve the families that pass through our gates. Love for people, love for God, and a love for families is one of his greatest talents.
Leigh Ann Loomis
Leigh Ann Loomis
Co-Founder and CFO of Fort Hope, Leigh Ann keeps the ship running tight and smooth. When she isn’t making sure that everything runs smoothly you can find her cheerily teaching the corn husk doll crafting sessions. She teaches hands on craft skills that are gradually becoming lost because she loves seeing kids and adults come together. Her favorite moments are when the whole family proudly shares their dolls with each other. Most of her work is behind the scenes and we are truly grateful for her gentle guidance and support.
Donovan Loomis
Donovan Loomis
After 13 years in South Korea, Donovan Loomis returned to the Central Coast and is the director of the Unplugged Retreat. There he obtained a Masters in Education Administration and launched his own language education business in Korea.
With over 6 years of communication and life coaching experience he specializes in helping people see life from a different perspective and encouraging healthy discourse. Having worked with youth and adults, he has the unique ability to understand both worldviews and helps bridge the gap.
